Discover DeKalb recently hosted our annual State of Tourism event — and what an incredible year it’s been! This special evening brought together our partners, community leaders, and industry professionals to celebrate DeKalb County’s achievements, milestones, and forward momentum as we prepare for an even brighter 2026.

Throughout 2025, Discover DeKalb has continued to make strides in showcasing the best of our vibrant community. From the growth of the “DeKalb Talks Tourism” podcast—which continues to connect audiences with inspiring voices in our industry—to the launch of our new Podcast Van, designed to take storytelling on the road, it’s been a year filled with innovation and collaboration.

We also reflected on the continued expansion of our brand initiatives, community partnerships, and marketing efforts that have positioned DeKalb as a must-visit destination for travelers, filmmakers, and event organizers alike. Each project, partnership, and podcast episode has helped tell the story of a county on the rise—one that celebrates culture, creativity, and connection.
