BUHI FOOD TRAIL APP FAQS

Does participation in the BuHi Food Trail cost anything?

Usage of the app is free, but all orders and purchases at visited restaurants are at your discretion and expense.

How does the “check-in” process work?

Arrive inside the location and launch the “Start Trail” button. If you are in the check-in zone you’ll automatically get alerted by a buzz or notification. If you did not get the check-in walk around a bit to allow the GPS signal to hone in on you. You will see an approximation of how close you are to this zone and can use that to get closer. Think of it as an adult verison of “cold, warm, warmer, hot, hotter, FOUND IT.”

While the staff at all the locations are very friendly, they unfortunately cannot assist with the GPS check-in’s. If you are having issues, email us at marketing@discoverdekalb.com

I don’t see my favorite restaurant listed; does that restaurant count?

At this time, restaurants in the cities of Chamblee and Doraville on Buford Highway are those represented. Restaurant participation is voluntary but feel free to share with us at marketing@discoverdekalb.com some places you’d like to see!

I have gone to these restaurants before; can I get credit for previous purchases and discoveries?

Sadly, no, the trail will only accept new check-in’s. But, now you can have twice the fun!

I accidentally deleted the app and lost my progress; can I get reinstated?

Unfortunately, no. If you have lost your place mid-trail, you will have to revisit or try all new restaurants.

How do the prizes work?

Rewards are while supplies last and are subject to change. Please allow 4-6 weeks from submission to receive your reward. After you unlock a prize stop, you will be asked for your physical mailing address for reward shipment.

I am having issues, found an error, or have feedback!

We’d love to hear from you, email us at marketing@discoverdekalb.com
