Now that Fall is here…it’s time to grab a jacket, your favorite pumpkin spice treat, and enjoy some Fall festivals and events. These must-attend happenings are your introduction to discover the unexpected in DeKalb this Fall.

1. Jazz on the Lawn
October 4, 2019

Enjoy an evening of live music at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center’s JAZZ ON THE LAWN, a signature DeKalb event and outdoor concert series featuring Joey “Papa J” Sommerville.

Guests are invited to bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy the concerts surrounded by the natural beauty of the Callanwolde Amphitheater. General Admission is $25.00 and can be purchased here. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Concert begins at 7:30 PM.

2. Taste of Chamblee
October 5, 2019

The 12th annual Taste of Chamblee returns with cuisines that range from Mexican to Italian and celebrate the diverse restaurant community in Chamblee. In addition to amazing food, the event will feature the SEC college football games on two giant LED screens and a family friendly kid zone.

This signature Chamblee, Georgia event is Downtown Chamblee, at the corner of Peachtree Road and Broad Street. Admissions is free but in order to taste you must purchase a wristband for $10, wristbands are preloaded with 10 taste points. If you need more Taste points, there will be Top Up Stations throughout the festival grounds where you can purchase more Taste Points for $1 each.

For parking, guest are encouraged to park at Interactive College of Technology – 5303 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA 30341 or take MARTA to Chamblee station. Event hours are 4:00pm – 8:00pm.

3. Taste of Tucker
October 5, 2019

By the numbers, Taste of Tucker is truly a crowd favorite festival. The 2019 Taste of Tucker will feature 30+ restaurants, live music from Roadhouse Atlanta and Smokey Jones and the 3 Dollar Pistols, a free kid zone, arts & crafts, and awards for best appetizer, best entrée, best dessert, and best decorated tent.

Happening downtown Tucker, Georgia on Main Street, guest can park throughout the downtown area and at the Tucker United Methodist Church. While attendance to Taste of Tucker is free, guest can purchase tickets for to taste the delicious bites for $1 each. Come hungry for a good cause, 100% of Taste of Tucker proceeds benefit three local charities. Tickets can be pre-purchased here.

4. Stonecrest Fest
October 5, 2019

Only 3 years old, but fastly growing into one of the best events in DeKalb, Stonecrest Fest is back! This year’s event will feature live entertainment, health & wellness section, kids fantastic fun zone, a car & bike Show, food, and merchandise from vendors. Dubbed as more than a festival, an experiene, Stonecrest Fest, located at Southeast Athletic Complex – 5845 Hillvale Road, Stonecrest GA 30058, is one to not-miss this weekend.

5. Pinelake Lake Fest
October 5-6, 2019

Now going into its 19th year, Pinelake Lake Fest is a quirky festival by the lake that has become a unique destination: a festival where kids & dogs are welcomed, where comfy Conversation Coves offer a break to the weary, where 40+ artists mix it up with 12+ bands, and food & drink are abundant.

Organized by a volunteer cadre of 30+ Pine Lake residents and their neighbors, LakeFest is a program of Pine Lake City Arts, Inc. This community event boast art, music, food, fun in Pinelake, Georgia. Two jam-packed days full of music is enough fun for all!

6. Oak Groove Fest
October 6, 2019

Oak Groove Festival is a free neighborhood festival featuring great local bands, activities and fun for all ages, and booths from local artists, businesses, restaurants and community organizations in the Oak Grove area along the Briarcliff and LaVista Road corridors. Proceeds from the event support community projects in the area. Everyone is encouraged to take the free shuttle, starting at 12:30pm,  from Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

All the festival fun happens at Vista Grove Shopping Center – 2836 LaVista Rd. Decatur, GA 30033.

7. Fall Fest in Candler Park
October 5-6, 2019

Reccomended by Scoutmob, AJC, and Atlanta as a must-do for Fall. This two day festival, Fall Fest in Candler Park, has a full lineup of music, over 200 artists andvendors, Tour of Homes, a 5K & Fun Run, Kidlandia, and Atlanta’s best food trucks  has been recommended by City of Atlanta, Scoutmob and AJC as a must-do for Fall.
