Dresden Park Shines Again: Grand Reopening in Chamblee!
Chamblee is welcoming back one of its favorite green spaces—bigger, brighter, and better than ever. Join Discover DeKalb and the City of Chamblee for the Grand Reopening of Dresden Park on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1–3 PM at 2301 Dresden Drive.
The revitalized park features upgraded amenities, new playground elements, and refreshing green space perfect for gathering, relaxing, and reconnecting with the outdoors. The celebration will include a ribbon cutting at 1:00 PMfollowed by the unveiling of a brand-new public art sculpture at 2:00 PM.
Titled Project Monarch: The Flight of Fortitude, the sculpture by Georgia artist William Massey honors resilience, transformation, and hope—values symbolized through the monarch butterfly and reflected in Chamblee’s diverse community. Created in collaboration with local residents and city leaders, the piece adds a powerful artistic touch to the newly improved park.
Whether you're coming for the playground, the art, or the community vibes, Dresden Park’s next chapter is one worth celebrating. We’ll see you there!
