Step Back in Time at Stone Mountain Park’s Dino Fest
Spring in DeKalb County is about to get prehistoric. From March 7 through April 26, 2026, families and dinosaur enthusiasts can travel millions of years back in time at Dino Fest at Stone Mountain Park.
This larger-than-life festival transforms the park’s Crossroads area into a roaming dinosaur adventure, where towering creatures, interactive experiences, and spectacular shows bring the age of dinosaurs to life. Whether you're visiting with kids, friends, or simply love a good adventure, Dino Fest offers a fun and immersive way to explore one of DeKalb’s most iconic destinations.
A Dinosaur Adventure Awaits
At the heart of Dino Fest is Dinosaur Explore, where paleontologist caregivers believe dinosaurs thrive on human interaction. Because of this, some of these prehistoric residents have been released into the Crossroads area to roam among guests.
As you explore the park, keep your eyes open for signs that dinosaurs are nearby. You may hear rustling in the bushes, notice massive footprints in the ground, or even see winged dinosaurs soaring overhead. These roaming encounters create exciting and unexpected moments that make every visit unique.
Shows, Lights, and Prehistoric Spectacles
Dino Fest isn’t just about encounters—it’s packed with spectacular entertainment throughout the day and evening.
Guests can experience:
• High-flying dinosaur shows featuring incredible aerial creatures
• Dinosaurs in 4-D, bringing prehistoric adventures to life on screen
• A lighted dinosaur-themed parade filled with colorful prehistoric characters
• A Dinosaur Drone & Light Show on select nights that lights up the sky with dazzling prehistoric scenes
Each experience adds another layer of excitement to the festival, turning a day at the park into a full prehistoric celebration.
