A New Green Space Is Growing in Chamblee!

Something new is taking root in Chamblee!

The City of Chamblee is celebrating the groundbreaking of Fish Bolt Park, a new $4.6 million green space coming to the popular Chamblee Rail Trail. The community is invited to join city leaders, partners, and neighbors for the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, August 12 at 10 a.m.

Located at the intersection of Chamblee Tucker Road and the Chamblee Rail Trail, Fish Bolt Park will blend recreation, nature, and innovative stormwater management into one exciting community space.

Plans for the park include ADA-accessible paths, a nature play area, public deck spaces, a mural wall, an aesthetic water feature, enhanced landscaping, and connections to the Rail Trail. The park will also function as a constructed wetland, helping manage stormwater while creating a natural habitat for native plants and wildlife.

“This groundbreaking marks an exciting milestone as we continue investing in the places that bring our community together,” said Chamblee Mayor Brian Mock.

Construction is expected to be completed by Summer 2027, giving residents and visitors another great reason to get outside and explore Chamblee.
