ART Station

ART Station, once a dream, is home to the Equity Theatre Co., a not-forprofit, professional, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary (theatre, music, dance, visual and literary arts) arts center, theatre company and arts organization dedicated to the production, presentation, and celebration of the visual arts, literary arts, performing arts, arts education, and community arts outreach. The ART in the ART Station name comes from a 1913 photograph of a trolley car in front of the building with the wording of “Atlanta Rapid Transit” written on the side of the trolley car.

Rail Arts District

Rail Arts District (RAD) spans the rail line running from Avondale Estatesto Decatur with art studios and shops with pottery making, glass blowing, paper arts, leather crafts, sewing and more.

Callanwolde Fine Art Center

Callanwolde, the magnificnet Tudor Revival style home is now used for visual, literary and performing arts events, workshops and classes for all ages. Callanwolde is available for weddings, corporate meetings or special occasion rentals.

OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY MUSEUM OF ART

OUMA features art work which is international, representational, figurative and spiritual in nature, reflecting the unique mission statement of the musuem. Located on the campus of Oglethorpe University, OUMA’s lecture and concert series complement exhibitions on view.
